In response to "Dan Walters Daily: Many controversial legislative issues remain" published Aug. 18.

Are you as tired as I am with all the games big donors use to hide their identity in California's ballot measures?

SB 52, the California DISCLOSE Act, "would end big secret spending on campaigns by letting voters know who is really paying for ballot measure ads - on the ads themselves. Authored by Sens. Mark Leno and Jerry Hill and sponsored by the California Clean Money Campaign, SB 52 would amend the Political Reform Act of 1974 and therefore requires a twothirds vote of the Legislature to pass," according to the bill's website.

We are now in the last two weeks of the legislative session. The Assembly has many bills to consider, but clearly SB 52 is the most important. So let's turn up the pressure on our Assembly members to fix this mess and pass SB 52.
