Voters need disclosure

Thank you for the editorial "Initiative reform's moment" (Feb. 19). The reforms proposed by state Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg will go a long way toward making the initiative process more democratic.
.
Besides disclosure of funders on petitions and in the ballot handbook, voters need clear and prominent disclosure on political ads. The Legislature must pass the strongest bill for on-ad disclosure of the real funders of political ads: SB52, the California Disclose Act.
